Ventilation
Adequate ventilation, via open windows and doors during application and drying, should always be available.
During The Treatment
No one, other than ourselves - your technician, is allowed in the immediate area while application is being carried out.
After The Treatment
Asthmatics or people suffering from respiratory problems should take special care to remain outside of the area until the treated items are completely dry and thorough ventilation has taken place. Adults must enforce these restrictions where children and pets are involved.
Fish Tanks
If there is a fish tank in the area with an open top, then it should be covered with a protective cover or cloth until spraying, drying and thorough ventilation is completed.
Treated Upholstery
No one must sit on protected upholstery before it is completely dry.
Treated Carpet
If your carpet is being treated:
a) Please remove as much furniture as possible from the room prior to the protection being carried out.
b) Furniture repositioning - if we need to reposition your furniture prior to the protected carpet being completely dry, we will place special coasters under furniture with legs and/or castors to prevent the transfer of wood dye or rust to the damp surface of the treated carpet. We will also position foam blocks under plinth furniture to allow adequate airflow and to prohibit the formation of any mildew. Please Do Not Remove these coasters, foam blocks, etc. until your carpet is completely dry.
c) It is important that furniture is placed in the exact position required - the weight of the furniture can flatten the pile of the carpet, especially whilst it is damp, leaving crush marks that may be difficult to remove after drying.
d) Caution Against Slipping. We do not recommend that you walk on your protected carpet(s) before complete drying has taken place and we will work with you to help prevent this occurring. ALWAYS TAKE SPECIAL CARE when walking from any damp carpet onto a hard surface, e.g. kitchen or bathroom hard floor. Moisture picked up on the bottom of footwear could make them very slippery.
Protective Overshoes
We will provide these if you find it necessary to walk on a damp carpet. They will prevent soiling from outdoor shoes being walked onto the carpet and the possibility of dye transfer from coloured socks, etc. Our advice is to stay off your freshly treated carpet until it is completely dry.
Electric Cables
These must not be in contact with the damp carpet surface.
No Smoking
Smoking in the area is not permitted during the application procedure and for at least 2 hours after drying and ventilation.
Drying Your Newly Protected Carpet Or Upholstery
PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CARPET OR UPHOLSTERY INTO NORMAL USE BEFORE DRYING IS COMPLETED. Make sure that the room is kept well ventilated throughout the drying period.
